Things to do
The Beach
Stroll along the beach below the Driftwood's property, take an invigorating dip in the Atlantic Ocean, stargaze or enjoy the glow of a campfire.
Cape Breton Highlands National Park
A short drive will bring you right into the park and all the wonders it has to offer. Hiking, wildlife, fresh- and saltwater beaches, interpretive programs and exhibits - nature at her finest.

Whale Watching
You may be lucky enough to glance a Minke or pilot whale right from your balcony, but if not, there is plenty of opportunity to go out on a boat in Ingonish and surrounding areas to get a closer look.
Kayaking
Sea kayaking in the area is exceptional. If you do not plan to bring your own kayak, there are several places in Northern Cape Breton to enjoy a kayaking excursion or rental.
Golfing
The Highlands Links Golf Course, just 8 km away from the Driftwood Lodge, boasts some spectacular scenery and is rated as the top public golf course in Canada.
